User Experience: the gateway to the users heart

My website is beautiful.

I have strong SEO in place.

My idea is solid.

All of these are vains if your UX is poor.

Now, what exactly is User Experience (UX)?

Many a time when we say UI/UX, we focus heavily on the UI — how beautiful the website looks, the animations, the colors, the typography, the buttons…

But we don't always pay enough attention to the UX aspect.

And honestly, this is the part that matters the most.

Because what’s the point of having a beautiful website if the person using it is frustrated?

What’s the point of ranking on Google if people land on your website and can't figure out what to do?

What’s the point of having a solid idea if your users can't actually use the product comfortably?

At the end of the day, your website exists for the user.

If the user isn't satisfied with the experience, then what exactly is the purpose of the website?

A beautiful interface might get someone to notice your website.

But a good user experience is what makes them want to stay.

So, ask yourself:

“If I were a random user seeing this website for the first time, would I actually understand what I'm looking at?”

And this is something I genuinely like about myself. Blushing 😂

I call it my “Eye of the User” principle.

After building a website, I try to forget that I’m the person who built it.

I look at it like a completely random user.

I ask myself:

“What does this mean to me?”

“Do I understand what I’m supposed to do here?”

“Is this button actually telling me what will happen when I click it?”

“If I knew absolutely nothing about this product, would I understand what this page is about?”

“Where would I expect to find this information?”

And sometimes, you discover that something that made perfect sense in your head as the developer makes absolutely no sense to someone seeing it for the first time. 😂

Because you already know how the website works.

Your user doesn't.

And that's the whole point.

Don't just build from the developer's eye.

Build from the user's eye too.
